Live Nation takes complete control of Japanese business

Live giant Live Nation has taken full ownership of its Japanese division, previously a joint venture with native live firm Creativeman Productions. Live Nation has bought out its business partner’s minority stake in the company, and Live Nation Japan MD Frank Takeshita will now give up other responsibilities he had with Creativeman.
Confirming the deal, Live Nation’s President Of International & Emerging Markets Alan Ridgeway told reporters: “As we continue to expand our global network, we wanted to assume full ownership of Live Nation Japan. Although we still expect to work together [with Creativeman] on some projects, this allows Live Nation to pursue our own interests and work with a variety of partners”.
