Live East India Youth and Gwilym Gold sets added to TNP exhibit
By Aly Barchi | Published on Monday 14 April 2014
These New Puritans have released additional details on ‘Magnetic Field’, the ‘interactive installation’ based on their latest LP ‘Field Of Reeds’, that they first hinted at earlier in the year. And what additional details they are.
Basically, the band have ‘widened’ the ‘Field’, inviting artists like East India Youth, Will Dutta, Halls, Gwilym Gold, Scanner and Charles Hayward to play live on site at the exhibit, which takes place at The Vinyl Factory in London (aka 180 The Strand) from 15-19 Apr. The acts will also play about with the MRP, or ‘Magnetic Resonator Piano’, at the heart of the installation. And what’s more, Andrew McPherson, who created the MRP in the first place, will give a talk about what it is, how it works, and so on.
In the meantime, see it in action via a ‘Magnetic Field’ trailer, and stream ‘Sound Dredge’, a preview of the limited edition ‘cannibalised’ EP version of ‘Field Of Reeds’ TNP release today, here:
