And Finally

Lil Wayne launches prison blog

However did law breaking rappers stay in touch with their fans before the internet? Well, thank God for web technology, because Lil Wayne has announced that his fans need not lose touch with his good self while he’s inside serving time for those much previously reported gun charges.

He has launched a website that will document his time in jail. The first post was made to the site on Friday (so too late to be an April Fools joke), and opened by saying “during my prison stint, I want my fans to know I love you. I want all of you to know that I appreciate all the mail I get, and this is my way of saying thank you”. Wayne says he hopes to post to the site at least once a week. The site, at weezythanxyou.com, also includes a countdown to Wayne’s release in 211 days time.

If every rapper and rock star in prison is going to start blogging, perhaps there’s a gap in the market for a weekly CMU bulletin documenting it all. We could even use the same slogan as the Daily.
