Looks like it’s lights out for Darkside, Nico Jaar’s proggy collaboration with guitarist Dave Harrington, “for now” at least.

Bearing in mind that both Jaar and Harrington have other jobs on the go, it isn’t clear if Darkside – via which the pair released only the one LP in last year’s most excellent ‘Psychic’ – was ever meant to last. Still, one thing’s for certain, and that’s that the project is “coming to an end, for now”, as confirmed via the official Darkside Twitter in a tweet. This tweet.

Jaar and Harrington will play one final show as Darkside on 12 Sep in Brooklyn, NYC. Non-America-based fans can take a last slice of the Darkside pie via ‘What They Say’ and ‘Gone Too Soon’, a pair of tracks going spare from the ‘Psychic’ era. They’ll have a release on 29 Sep via ‘WORK’, the new compilation from Jaar’s label, Other People.
