Leonard Cohen moves shows following clash with holy days

AEG has had to find alternative dates for a pair of shows on Leonard Cohen’s August/September arena tour. Cohen asked the live co to do so having realised, quite late in the game it has to be said, that said dates – in Leeds and London – clashed with Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, both Jewish holy days. The Leeds show will now fall on 7 Sep, whilst the London one has moved to 15 Sep.
States a red-faced AEG: “When Leonard Cohen learned today that two of his UK concerts were scheduled on days of solemn religious observance, he respectfully asked AEG to move the dates. We at AEG, and Leonard [himself], apologise deeply for the inconvenience this will cause, and we hope and trust that the reasons for the changes will be understood”.
All tickets to the original dates will remain valid at their new equivalents.
