By Aly Barchi | Published on Wednesday 16 April 2014
This weekend ‘Sound It Out’, the Official Film of Record Store Day 2011, will stream online in celebration of this year’s RSD, which is on Saturday. This Saturday.
Directed by ‘The Great Hip Hop Hoax’-maker Jeanie Finlay, the acclaimed doc traces the history of Teesside’s last remaining independent vinyl shop. A free and internationally accessible stream of the entire thing will be available between 9am on 19 Apr to midnight on 21 Apr via this URL, which you should go and save now.
Finlay is still trying to finance her new film ‘Orion: The Man Who Would Be King’, the story of masked Elvis imposter Jimmy Ellis, who convinced a lot of people that he was really The King. An Indiegogo campaign backing the movie is still active, with twelve days remaining to raise the $25,000 needed to finish ‘Orion’.
Pitch in a bit of cash, if you have any, at this link, and see the trailer to Finlay’s ‘Sound It Out’ here:
