Lamb Of God man acquitted
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 5 March 2013
Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe has been acquitted in the criminal case against him in the Czech Republic where he was accused of causing the death of a fan by pushing him off stage at a gig in Prague in 2010. A court spokesman has confirmed the ruling to Sky News.
As previously reported, Blythe was arrested in relation to the charge when returning to the Czech Republic for a concert last year. The fan, Daniel Nosek, reportedly tried to climb on to the stage at the 2010 gig multiple times before being pushed by the singer. The injuries he sustained in the resulting fall later led to his death. Blythe has denied liability for the fan’s injuries from the start, though expressed his sorrow regards Nosek’s death.
Details about the ruling in the Czech courts today are still incoming, though it is believed the prosecution plan to appeal.
