Lady Gaga gains second million-selling UK single with Bad Romance
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 16 August 2013
As Lady Gaga’s latest single ‘Applause’ battles with Ellie Goulding’s ‘Burn’ for the top spot in the UK charts this week, her 2009 effort ‘Bad Romance’ has surpassed one million sales in this country, the Official Charts Company announced this morning.
This is Gaga’s second million-selling UK single, along with ‘Poker Face’, and one of only 138 ever to reach the milestone. She is also one of just eighteen artists to release more than one million seller – Paul McCartney leads that group with nine. But he was in The Beatles, which is kind of cheating.
