Kanye Omari West has resurrected his ‘Yeezus’ tour post-it being put to death by a truck. Or more accurately, after the giant LED screen displaying West’s custom ‘Yeezus’ visuals was damaged when the lorry carrying it crashed last week.

Aaaanyway, it should be noted that only five of the affected shows – two each in Chicago and Toronto, and one in Detroit – have been rescheduled, meaning that, due to “touring logistics”, West’s rep has confirmed, once-‘postponed’ dates in Denver, Columbus, Montreal, Minneapolis, St Louis and Vancouver are now just plain cancelled.

Meanwhile, the tour will resume in Philadelphia on 16 Nov.

In relevant-ish news, West has commented on the prominence of the Confederate flag – an often controversial symbol in the US due to its links to racist and white supremacy groups – in items of ‘Yeezus’ tour merchandise, and even on the sleeve of a jacket he’s been pictured wearing recently.

Speaking via LA-based radio station 97.1 AMP, West said: “React how you want… Any energy is good energy. You know the Confederate flag represented slavery in a way – that’s my abstract take on what I know about it. So I made the song ‘New Slaves’. So I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. It’s my flag. Now what are you going to do?”
