Kanye likes his carpets bumpy, says BBC
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 20 September 2013
A BBC source has denied that Kanye West requested that carpets in his dressing room for ‘Later… With Jools Holland’ be ironed when he recorded performances for the show on Tuesday. The Sun claims that the rapper complained that the carpets in the room were “too bumpy”.
But a source “close to the show”, who for some reason required anonymity to deliver this fact nugget, told the NME: “This is all utter nonsense. It’s wish fulfilment – people expect stars of his stature to make diva demands, but the truth is Kanye was great to work with. There were more flowers in the dressing room than usual, but that’s it”.
So, there you go. Kanye West doesn’t mind that the carpets at Maidstone Studios are all bumpy. I wouldn’t stand for that. But Kanye is a more humble man than I. Here he is being all humble and that while performing ‘Bound 2’ on Tuesday night’s live show. You can catch him again on the extended show tonight.
