Justin Bieber urges Ed Sheeran to not “mess it all up”

Nice guy Justin Bieber has been offering some advice to the man some people wrongly believe to be the nicest man in pop, ie Ed Sheeran (even though we know JB2.0 is the nicest human in all existence, duh). Basically, Bieber’s advice to Sheeran last week was “carry on being good and don’t fuck up”. Except he didn’t say “fuck”. Not at that point, anyway.

“Me and Ed aren’t super close but he’s someone who I consider a friend and I really appreciate his music”, Bieber said, appearing on Radio 1 for a Live Lounge performance from his LA home. “I appreciate who he is as a person. He’s an inspiration to a lot of young people – he makes awesome music that people are inspired by and that people laugh to, cry to and I think it’s important in music to have those people who bring the emotion out of you”.

“There’s something about him that just makes you like him”, Bieber continued, laying it on a bit thick. “He’s very likeable and very, very talented … We gotta make sure he doesn’t do something stupid to mess it all up”.

Demonstrating a low level example of ‘messing up’, Bieber then opened his Live Lounge performance by using the F word (which is “fuck”). He let the rude word slip when his guitarist also messed up, getting wrong the opening chords of his song ‘Love Yourself’, which is co-written by Sheeran.

“He’s broken his finger, so he’s not usually this terrible”, said Bieber, which must have made the guitar guy feel great and highly valued.

Bieber later tweeted: “I don’t usually get nervous but tonight I was thrown off. Sorry about that. Really wanted to be my best. Hope you all had fun. Just want to make people smile. And teach them the perfect squat”.

And now this story is finished.
