Jonathan Ross confirms chat show will move to ITV
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 8 July 2010
Continuing its recent habit of hiring ex-BBC presenters well past their prime, ITV have confirmed that, as expected, they have signed up Jonathan Ross to present a new chat show, which will launch late next year.
Confirming his new telly deal, Ross said yesterday: “I am thrilled and excited that, after a short break, I will be rolling up my sleeves and creating a brand new show for ITV1”.
Ross’s BBC chat show finishes this month. It is not clear if the new ITV version of the programme will include the end-of-show live music slot that was so popular with TV plugging types in the record industry.
