The Jacksons v AEG Live court battle is set to be an all-star affair given the proposed witness list provided by the claimants, no wonder CNN and NBC are trying so hard to persuade the judge to let their cameras into the court room.

Diana Ross, director Spike Lee, producer Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson’s one-time wife Lisa Marie Presley could all be called to the witness stand in the case, in which the Jackson family will try to argue that AEG Live, promoters of the late king of pop’s ill fated ‘This Is It’ show, should be held liable for the singer’s death, because they hired Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted for causing Jackson’s demise in 2009 through negligent treatment. As previously reported, AEG counters that it paid Murray’s bills, he was hired and managed by Jackson himself.

Jury selection is now underway for the trial, which could run for months and make public Jackson’s various prescription drug dependencies, as well as behind-the-scenes conversations and emails between the singer and various people involved in the ‘This Is It’ project.

In addition to the list of celebs likely to be called to court, unearthed by ETOnline.com, it’s also known that the Jackson family’s legal team expect to question the late king of pop’s three children during the court case. A legal rep for AEG Live recently criticised that move, saying it would put unnecessary pressure on the children, whose testimonies would offer little to the case, and that he was certain Jackson himself would not have approved.

Either way, The Jacksons v AEG Live looks likely to be quite a trial once court proceedings properly get under way.
