Interpol’s Paul Banks announces solo EP
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 20 April 2012
Matador has set an 11 Jun release date for ‘Julian Plenti Lives…’, the new solo EP from Interpol’s Paul Banks. This will mark the first instance in which Banks has issued music under his own name, rather than taking his Julian Plenti alias. It seems a second album will follow suit later this year.
But first to the EP, which features both original and covered tracks, the latter category to include Banks’ versions of J Dilla’s ‘Mythsysizer’, Frank Sinatra’s ‘I’m A Fool To Want You’ and composer Harold Faltermeyer’s theme to the 1987 film ‘Running Man’.
