Indies unite for Christmas label market
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 21 November 2011
The Independent Label Market is to stage its second London event of the year, thus assuring a much merrier Christmas for all those labels affected by the Sony/PIAS warehouse fire earlier this year. Domino, Big Dada, Memphis Industries and Ninja Tune will be amongst the labels represented at the event, which takes place at east London’s Spitalfields Market on 10 Dec.
Says ILM founder and Angular Records chief, Joe Daniel: “We’ve spent the last couple of months getting back on our feet and I hope this market will be a chance for the labels to recover some of the ground lost in August and September when we had no stock. It will also be a great way to celebrate independent music in 2011 whilst wearing a silly hat and enjoying some nice mulled wine”.
Hurrah! Further details here.
