Independent Label Market announces two day London event
By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 6 November 2012
The Independent Label Market will return to London’s Old Spitalfields Market next month with a two day event featuring stalls manned by the bosses of indie record companies including Bella Union, One Little Indian, Soul Jazz, Rough Trade, Infectious, !K7, No Pain In Pop, and Planet Mu. It’ll all take place on 1 and 2 Dec.
ILM has also announced it is expanding its partnership with the Association Of Independent Music in order to help roll out its events globally. ILM co-fouder Joe Daniel told CMU: “It’s fantastic that an organisation such as AIM has chosen to support Independent Label Market. We are excited to start what we hope to be a long standing and fruitful relationship with AIM”.
AIM CEO Alison Wenham added: “Joe and Katie came up with a simple, great idea, and put it into practice. As AIM is the home of the world’s greatest indie labels, we are naturally delighted to be able to support the development of the Independent Label Market. We intend to do this in partnership with WIN, the Worldwide Independent Network, our global trade body”.
