Hard Rock to call for three days this year
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 1 April 2009
Hard Rock Calling will be a three-day event this year, kicking off on Friday 26 Jun with a day of K music starting off with the Kooks and rapping up with the Killers. If they get me Kiss, the KLF and, erm, K-Fed, I’ll be there.
Confirming the extra day, John Probyn of Hard Rock Calling promoters Live Nation told CMU: “Going to three days was a big step for us and Hard Rock, and then the Killers came along and in my book, that’s a no brainer. We are committed to bringing great music to the heart of London every summer and with such an amazing line up this year, there is something for everyone”.
No offence to John, but I’m going to kick the next person to say “no brainer”. Neil Young headlines Hard Rock Saturday, by the way, with Bruce Spingsteen topping the bill on the Sunday. More line up info at www.hardrockcalling.co.uk.
