Gogglebox’s Noel Gallagher has apparently done other things of note too

With Oasis now a barely remembered cultural artefact from the past, Noel Gallagher has found himself recognised for something wholly different by a new generation of fans. The youth of today apparently know him as ‘that guy off of ‘Gogglebox’.
Gallagher recently appeared on a celebrity edition of the watching-people-watching-TV show, as part of Channel 4’s ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ charity drive.
The musician told Xfm last week that he only realised his new found fame when he posed for a photograph with a group of “about eleven or twelve kids” outside a curry house. “I was kind of stood there and this girl’s going ‘Oh my God! Oh my God!’ And I heard her whisper to her mate, ‘Who is it?’ Her mate said ‘He’s off Gogglebox’. And she went: ‘Are you off Gogglebox?'”
Gallagher’s response: “Amongst other things, yes”.
