Glee actor tells Madam X she’s not hip hop enough

British DJ Madam X had her set rudely interrupted last week during the cruise ship based American dance music festival Holy Ship when one festival-goer – an actor who apparently had a recurring role in ‘Glee’ – decided he wasn’t digging her track selection and that the best solution was to cut the music for everyone.
According to Mixmag, Madam X was included on Holy Ship’s ‘hip hop party’ line-up, which kind of misrepresents her grime and drum n bass centric sets. This is seemingly why this actor bloke, James Earl, decided to turn down the fader on Madam’s X’s decks, grab a mic and declare “What is this shit? What’s happened to my hip hop room? Where’s my trap at?”
Fortunately a room full of clubbing shipmates who had been rather enjoying the set promptly booed the party-stopper off stage, leaving the DJ to her own devices once again.
She wrote on Instagram later: “To the ass-wipe who felt the need to come on my set, grab the mic and slew my music for not being ‘hip hop’ enough – you can jog on. I am not responsible for the incongruent programming. Although I was placed on the hip hop stage, I will ALWAYS do me and play my shit. Never in all my years of DJing have I experienced such distasteful, tacky behaviour”.
She added: “So much love to the crowd for booing the bell-end off. Hope he crawls back into the ignorant hole he came from”.
