Savant-Dracula-of-pop Jack White has confirmed a show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo at the bottom of his European tour. So, that’s nice for his British fans, but only if you live in London, because it’s so far his only UK date. Though is you live in Ireland, White is also down to play Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham on 26 Jun. No matter what your nationality or location, all the listings for the Euro tour, which runs in conjunction with Jack’s forthcoming solo LP ‘Lazaretto’, are on this page.
All-American ‘Heart Attack’ hit-girl Demi Lovato (pictured) is gifting her many Brit admirers with a rare live appearance on 1 Jun, which is when she’ll play a single set in London, at Koko. Wait in line on Friday to take your tickets, via this link.
Also on a ‘one-off London show’ tip are folk-pop pairing First Aid Kit, who on 15 May will stop in at the Islington Assembly Hall to share an early glimpse at their new LP ‘Stay Gold’, which is released on 9 Jun. And this is one of the places you may buy tickets, should you want to go.
And finally, hardcore band OFF! have promised to play a load of live dates in October, mainly because they have an LP to advertise in the recently-released ‘Wasted Years’. And also just for the love of ‘gigging’, no doubt. The UK portion of the tour runs from 2 Oct, at the Bristol Exchange, to 8 Oct, at The Haunt in Brighton. So, now you know.
