Gaga confirms 2015: a singing-in-space odyssey
By Aly Barchi | Published on Friday 8 November 2013
Lady Gaga has bagged a gig playing in space, where no one can hear her scream ‘ARTPOP’, etc.
She’s been asked to be the first official popstar to ever sing in-situ in a space-bound vehicle by New Mexico festival Zero G Colony, which takes place – on Planet Earth, by the way – in 2015. Gagz will blast off on a Virgin Galactic SpaceShip Two, where she will sing a single track once she hits conditions of zero gravity.
This whole ‘first popstar to sing in space’ thing, it should be said, does depend on Gaga beating Sarah Brightman – who’s poised to join the Russians aboard the International Space Station, also in 2015 – to the launch pad.
Gaga has said via Twitter that she’ll be revealing the secrets of her space odyssey on 10 Nov, so watch this… erm, page, popstronauts.
