Former Taylor Swift manager sues

Taylor Swift’s one-time manager, Dan Dymtrow, has filed a lawsuit following years of squabbling with the weirdly popular US singer’s father-manager and her record label Big Machine. Dymtrow worked with Swift way back in 2004 on her early recordings. He was fired by Swift Senior in July 2005 ahead of him signing his daughter to country indie Big Machine. The former manager reckons he was unfairly cut out of Swift’s pop career, and is due a share of her subsequent mega-buck earnings.

Swift Senior has previously dismissed Dymtrow’s claims he was integral in his daughter’s rise to fame, and he and Big Machine previously defeated all but one of the former manager’s legal claims. But Dymtrow seems to think he still has enough of a case to get millions in damages, hence the new lawsuit.
