Following the news last week that a former Roadrunner Records promotions exec was setting up a new agency to take on UK TV and radio work for the rock label, two former press reps from the Warner imprint are now doing the same on the PR side.

As previously reported, Warner Music recently announced it was streamlining the operations of Roadrunner Records outside the US, and making many of its employees beyond America redundant. Last week former Head Of Promotions at Roadrunner UK, Austin Collins, announced the launch of AC Promotions, which will represent many Roadrunner acts moving forward in the radio and TV space, as well as looking to work with other similar artists signed to other labels.

And now former Roadrunner publicists Michelle Kerr and Kirsten Sprinks have launched Cosa Nostra PR, which will also represent a string of Roadrunner acts in the UK, including Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Machine Head, Trivium, Stone Sour, Black Stone Cherry, Killswitch Engage, Megadeth, Korn and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The new Cosa Nostra chiefs told CMU: “After a respective 17 years (Michelle) and 12 years (Kirsten) as part of the Roadrunner Records family, we felt there was no better option than to keep the press ‘dream team’ together and establish our own publicity company. And so we launch Cosa Nostra PR! We will continue to represent many familiar faces from the Roadrunner artist roster for all UK press (national, regional, college and online) in addition to great new clients from other labels, moving forward.
