One of Radio 1’s original DJs, Chris Denning, has pleaded guilty to 29 charges of sexual offences against young boys, though he denied a further twelve.
Appearing at Southwark Crown Court yesterday, Denning admitted to 26 counts of indecent assault and three of indecency with a child. The offences, involving boys aged between nine and sixteen, took place between 1967 and 1984.
Arrested as part of Operation Yewtree in June last year, Denning will now face trial beginning on 24 Nov.
