Festival line-up update: Primavera Sound, Live At Leeds, Outlook and more

Primavera Sound

Starting on a rather low note, organisers of Nottinghamshire’s No Direction Home, which first got going in 2012 only to have its 2013 edition cancelled, have confirmed the event will now be discontinued for good.

The team behind the festival, who, on cancelling last year’s event, said 2012’s had “lost a good deal of money”, say they will instead invest all their time in NDH’s sister fest End Of The Road, which will this year go ahead between 29-31 Aug. Tickets to EOTR are already available at this link.

Next it’s to today’s scenic line-up update. And in the lead, in terms of size and variety, is Spain’s Primavera Sound, which published its full 2014 bill overnight. Nine Inch Nails, The National and Queens Of The Stone Age will headline the Barca-based event, with Foals, Volcano Choir, Kendrick Lamar, Slowdive, Disclosure, St Vincent, Warpaint, Earl Sweatshirt and Shellac all set to appear over its three-day springtime festivities.

The vari-sited Live At Leeds has a good go at matching Primavera act for act with its initial influx of artists, one that features Chloe Howl, Clean Bandit, Albert Hammond Jr, Blood Red Shoes, Yuck and Los Campesinos! in its midst.

More on all that alongside not-quite-as-big act commissions over at the following hot tickets…
