Festival line-up update: BoomTown Fair, Beacons, Rock en Seine and more

So yeah, BoomTown, Beacons and Paris-adjacent Rock en Seine festivals have all declared the first artists on their 2014 line-ups.

Sprawling Hampshire carnival BoomTown adds Chas & Dave, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, Ms Dynamite, Tinariwen, Johnny Flynn and Bellowhead to its listings, whilst lighting Beacons’ torch in Yorkshire come August will be the likes of Jon Hopkins, The Fall, Nicolas Jaar’s Darkside, Hookworms, MONEY, Eagulls and East India Youth, which is excellent news.

Rock en Seine, meanwhile, in a brave display of genre diversity, has made Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey and The Prodigy its headliners-in-chief, while taking Portishead, Queens of the Stone Age, Die Antwoord, Jake Bugg, Flume and Warpaint to its bosom, too.
