Festival line-up update: Bestival, Visions, Tennant’s Vital and more

So, who wants an extra special bit of Bestival birthday bash news? Well, the festival’s very special guest (and host, I guess) at its brand new and half-alliterative ‘Fatboy Slim’s Bestival Birthday Bash’ feature on Friday night is none other than Fatboy Slim. He’s the final headlining piece of Bestival’s sea-themed tenth birthday-celebratory jigsaw, and so aligns with Snoop Dogg and Elton John on a bill that also stars MIA, Franz Ferdinand, The Flaming Lips and The Knife. Hurrah!
But wait, that isn’t all because, as is always the case when Bestival updates its line-up, there’s an excitable speech to be made, and Fatboy makes it in this way: “It was at Glastonbury 2003 where I closed the Sunday Best stage for Rob Da Bank that I first saw the glint in his eye to create his own festival. Twelve months later I was headlining Bestival and TEN years on, here I am again, throwing them the biggest birthday bash possible. It’s an absolute honour to return for this momentous occasion – staying creative and independent in these times. You’ve come a long way, baby!”
