Festival line-up update – 21 Feb 2013

Dot To Dot

Hi, listen to this. Rose-tinted Dutch party Pinkpop is back again this year, and going wild. It’s just made additions to its stash of 2013 acts, inviting chart faves like The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Paramore, 30 Seconds To Mars, Fun., Phoenix, Jimmy Eat World, The Gaslight Anthem and Ellie Goulding to join existing headliners Green Day and QOTSA, so that’s nice. Wild, even.

Also line-up adding of late has been triumvirate pop-rock bop Dot To Dot – as thrice-transpires (featuring slightly varying live listings) in the fair cities of Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham over the same May Bank Holiday. It’s revealed its first phase of names, in fact, with wild abandon, not least Dry The River, MØ, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Wave Machines and Lucy Rose.

Elsewhere, verdant Welsh fest Green Man has given its bank of artists an extra root-boost via new additions Ben Howard (who joins Band Of Horses in the headlining dept), Villagers, Veronica Falls and Rachel Zeffira.

Oh, and Radiohead/RHCP spin-offs Atoms For Peace go to fortify a Pohoda roster that already featured Smashing Pumpkins, Nick Cave and Amon Tobin. Thom Yorke et al’s presence was barely necessary, really. But still, hurrah for that!

And hurrah for the following FLUU summary:
