Feist and Mastodon share interactive video
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 2 August 2012
After meeting on an edition of ‘Later… With Jools Holland’ earlier this year, Leslie Feist suggested that she and Mastodon might work together in some way. And then they only went and did it, releasing a split single featuring covers of each others’ songs on seven-inch for this year’s Record Store Day. Now, to mark the digital release of both covers, they’ve released an interactive video for Mastodon’s cover of Feist’s ‘A Commotion’.
Continuing the theme of collaborating without actually directly working together, the video allows viewers to crossfade between Feist’s original and Mastodon’s cover of the song – merging the two versions or just listening to one – over Vice Cooler’s video for the track.
