Fans sue over shooting at TI concert

Two people who attended that TI show where a backstage shooting occurred earlier this year are suing the promoter and venue over the injuries they sustained as fans rushed for the exits after gunfire was heard and the mental anguish caused by the incident.
As previously reported, rapper Troy Ave – real name Roland Collins – was later arrested over the shooting at New York’s Irving Plaza, in which his bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was killed and three others, including Collins himself, were injured. Collins, who had been scheduled to perform at the show, was subsequently charged with attempted murder and illegal weapons possession.
According to TMZ, the two unnamed fans say that they were crushed in a stampede as fans in the main venue ran to get outside after hearing the shots. They are suing Live Nation and Irving Plaza for not properly screening people entering the venue, seeking unspecified damages.
