Artist News Awards
EMAs presented
By Chris Cooke | Published on Monday 11 November 2013
Miley Cyrus showed off plenty of flesh, Katy Perry wailed from on high, and Robin Thicke made all the decent people in the room feel a little nauseous once again – yes, it was MTV’s Same Old Same Old Awards, aka the EMAs, in Amsterdam last night. So that’s fun.
We also learned that next year Glasgow gets to host the music telly firm’s big European bash, where we’ll presumably get to see next summer’s big pop anthem performed live (probably a bouncy Pharrell-produced tune about how much fun it is to slap your girl in the face when she’s not got your dinner ready on time).
Anyway, here’s a list of EMA 2013 winners for all you good people. And look, ‘Blurred Lines didn’t win either of the awards it was shortlisted for. Perhaps people aren’t as stupid as they sometimes look.
