The widow of Suicide Silence’s Mitch Lucker, who died last week from injuries sustained in a traffic accident, has told mourners that the metal frontman was drunk when he left their home on his motorbike, and urged others to learn from his death.

Jolie Carmadella, mother of Lucker’s five year old daughter Kenadee Isis, paid tribute to her husband, but admitted he had battled with alcohol addiction. She told the band’s fans: “He was an alcoholic, and it’s a been a big battle. I tried to stop him. I was in front of him begging him not to leave the house. Begging him, ‘Just seriously, for us, don’t leave’. And he did. And this is what happened. It’s a wake up call”.

She added: “He was an amazing man. He was a wonderful father and a great husband. And now he’s gonna miss out on watching Kenadee grow [up], because he decided to drink and ride. Just don’t. Just think before you guys do something stupid. Please learn from this. Please”.

As previously reported, numerous artists from across the metal fraternity paid tribute to Lucker after his death last week, with Blabbermouth collating some of them.
