Daft Punk to stage LP playback on a farm, in Australia
By Aly Barchi | Published on Thursday 11 April 2013
In typically ‘zany’ style, Daft Punk are going to give their new LP, ‘Random Access Memories’, its first ever playback at a family farm fair in the 2100 population Australian locale of Wee Waa, New South Wales. And why not, that’s what I say.
The listening party will go on at the same time as a baby show, “showgirl competition” and “buzz’s lolly drop” (whatever that is). And, in all probability, a pig race, which I’d choose above all the other attractions. It’s all happening on 17 May, just in advance of the LP’s 20 May release date.
Info and tickets (lol) to the Wee Waa spectacular via this link.
If you do go, let’s just hope it’s not all an elaborate ruse, as befell Mixmag Bass Editor Seb Wheeler recently.
