Crispin Hunt and Mark Kelly have been re-elected as Performer Directors of PPL, the rights body that represents the performing and performer rights of record labels and recording artists. The elections took place yesterday at Rich Mix in London at the collecting society’s Annual Performer Meeting.

In a statement, Hunt said: “It is a privilege to be re-elected as a Performer Director. I will continue to do my utmost to represent the interests of PPL’s performer members”.

Kelly added: “Thank you to the performer community for re-electing me to represent your interests at PPL. I look forward to working closely with my fellow Performer Directors and PPL to achieve the best for performers in the next two years”.

Meanwhile, PPL CEO Peter Leathem commented: “I’d like to offer my congratulations to Crispin and Mark on their election as Performer Directors. Over the years, both of them have demonstrated a deep commitment to the performer community. I very much look forward to working with them again in this capacity and wish them every success in the role”.

As previously reported, as well as Hunt and Kelly standing for re-election, outgoing MMF CEO Jon Webster also stood for a Performer Director position.
