Craig Logan doesn’t even want to be in your stupid Bros reunion

Bros

Bros, as we know, once headlined Wembley Stadium and were always just Matt and Luke Goss. However, some people have claimed that there was once a third member of the group.

No! Bros (who once played Wembley Stadium) are and have always been Matt and Luke Goss. Your memories must be playing tricks. Well, you can deny it all you like, but it doesn’t change the fact that the BBC has done an interview with Craig Logan, who claims that he was a member of the band from 1986 to 1988, playing on and touring their debut album. Can it be true?

“I am very proud of the time I was in Bros”, he says. “I would do it all again. I was seventeen when it all kicked off. And we travelled the world, being friends, playing in front of huge audiences and that was real fun. But I was never comfortable with fame, in all honesty”.

If he’d “do it all again”, does that mean he’s upset not to be involved in the reunion? Nope. “This is something they’ve really wanted. It’s not something I’ve wanted. They will do great, they’ll put on a fantastic show, and I only wish them well. I think they know that it’s not something that interests me. That part of my world has moved on”.

Note that he only thinks he knows Matt and Luke’s opinion, because they didn’t actually tell him that the reunion was happening. Presumably because the former Wembley Stadium headliners have always been just Matt and Luke anyway.

“They’re launching a tour as the two of them, so that’s fine”, he says. “There was always two blonde ones and another one. I was the other one”.

Just in case you forgot.

Logan, of course, moved over to more behind-the-scenes roles in the music industry after leaving Bros. He was head of Sony’s RCA label for a number of years, and now heads up his own management firm, Logan Media Entertainment, currently managing artists including Anastacia, Dido, JLS’s Aston Merrygold, and Andreya Triana. So he’s done alright for himself.

And he’s now preparing to launch a new record label, of which he tells the Beeb: “I think it’s a great time to have an independent label. The key before was always distribution. You’d rely on an awful lot of other people. Now, distribution is pretty straightforward to set up. After that, you have to understand how to build an international strategy for any particular artist”.

“The reason I’ve set up a new label, a new publishing company and also a TV sync company – for putting music into TV and film – is I want to have lots of routes to the market for my artists”, he continues. “You just have to be nimble. And if you put some knowledge in there, and some skill in there, you can actually do some damage”.

Maybe he could sign the duo Bros. I mean, they once played Wembley Stadium
