• Universal Music Group in the US has promoted Barak Moffitt to the newly created role Executive Vice President Of Content Strategy And Operations. His work will be jointly overseen by Boyd Muir and Michele Anthony. “Universal Music”, said Muir. “Universal Music”, added Anthony. “Universal Music”, confirmed Moffitt himself.

• Bon Jovi keyboard player and award-winning Broadway composer David Bryan has individually signed to booking agency CAA, reports Billboard. The band are already collectively represented by the company.

• Iggy Azalea has signed a new deal with booking agency William Morris Endeavor for her worldwide live activity, reports Billboard.

• Australian Armin Van Buuren shows have been cancelled, after SFX-owned promoter Totem One Love was hit by its parent company’s bankruptcy. The company has also reportedly put its Windsor, Victoria HQ up for sale.

• Turns out streaming firm Rhapsody (aka Napster) has never had a full-time CEO. Now that somebody’s noticed, the firm has decided to appoint one pronto, in the form of Mike Davis, a former Universal Music exec who most recently worked in private equity. He’s “THRILLED” about his new gig.

• Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor will release a solo piano album, titled ‘Piano’, on 10 Jun. Are you ready for its first single, ‘I’m Ready’?
