Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Having quite recently signed a new record deal with Warner Bros, Twin Shadow has now announced that he will release his first album for the label (and third in total), called ‘Eclipse’, on 16 Mar. One of the songs on that album is called ‘Turn Me Up’. That song has a video. Wanna see that video? Sure you do.

• Tobias Jesso Jr, a man who has achieved CMU approved status, has announced that he will release his debut album on 16 Mar next year. It’s called ‘Goon’. And I know we already posted this, but here is a track from it called ‘Hollywood’.

• Metal fellas Torche have brought forth their first new music since 2012 in the form of ‘Minions’, a track taken from their new album ‘Restarter’. The album is out on 23 Feb. There will be a UK tour in May. The track is available to hear right now, here.

• Father John Misty, aka ex-Fleet Fox Josh Tillman, has uploaded the video for ‘Chateau Lobby #4 (In C For Two Virgins)’ from his forthcoming new album, ‘I Love You, Honeybear’. The album is due out through Bella Union in February, the very same month he’ll be in the UK for an almost-sold-out tour (I mean the tour is currently almost sold out, it will probably just be sold out come February). Grab the last remaining tickets in Manchester and Leeds after viewing the video here.

• Arrested Development will be over in the UK for a tour in February next year. The hip hop outfit off of the 90s, rather than the TV show off of the telly. Yes, they’re still going. No, you’re right, they did split up once, but they’ve been back together since 2001, so you have no excuse for thinking they were over. Anyway, tickets.

• Belle & Sebastian will be touring the UK in May. I’ve never much liked Belle & Sebastian, to be honest, but the Dum Dum Girls are the support act, and I like them, so there really is something for everyone. Dates here.

• The Bangface Weekender is set to return for its 100th edition on 20-22 Mar next year. It’s hard to believe it’s been going for 100 years now, isn’t it? But it has. The first edition in 1916 was headlined by music hall star Ernie Mayne. TRUE STORY. I’m sure you’ll find all the info about it on the Bangface website.
