Other notable announcements and developments today…
• Spotify has announced that one billion tracks have been streamed on its Discover Weekly playlists in the ten weeks since their launch. So that’s nice.
• Avicii has launched an “interactive Instagram story” as part of the promotion for his new album ‘Stories’. What does that mean? It’s probably easiest if you just go and look for yourself.
• Iggy Azalea’s new album is apparently called ‘Digital Distortion’, although there is still time to change it. Seriously, that’s a terrible title Iggy.
• Hey, Mr Hudson is back. He’s just put out a new track called ‘Dancing Thru It’.
• Petite Meller has released the video for her new single, ‘Barbaric’.
• Du Blonde – aka Beth Jeans Horton – is touring the UK this month, and has just announced another London show in February. Here’s the new video for ‘Raw Honey’ too.
