Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Music data company Revelator has announced a new Playlist Analytics app, which will enable users to track use of their music in playlists on Spotify and Apple Music. “The amount of playlist data that rightsholders need to analyse is increasingly problematic to manage, we plan to change all that”, says CEO Bruno Guez.

• 7digital has itself a brand new Chief Commercial Officer in the form of Edward Kershaw, an ex-label exec who has worked in music roles in the mobile sector in recent years. He replaces Pete Downton, who is rising to the new role of Deputy CEO.

• Music and media firm AEI Media has rebranded at AEI Group. “The rebrand represents the evolution of the company from its humble beginnings in the industrial north to a multi-platform music company with a global audience”, says co-founder Diluk Dias.

• Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez don’t talk anymore. Here they are singing a song about it.

• Joey Jordison’s new band Vimic have released another new song, ‘She Sees Everything’.

• Shabazz Palaces has released the video for ‘Dawn In Luxor’, taken from his ‘Lese Majesty’ album.

• Mykki Blanco has released the video for new track ‘High School Never’, featuring Woodkid. Blanco’s debut album is due out later this year.

• Die Antwoord have released a new track, ‘Bum Bum’, taken from new mixtape ‘Suck On This’, which is out tomorrow.

• Teleman have released the video for new single ‘Glory Hallelujah’. Filmed on the road, the band’s Johnny Sanders says of the clip: “Trying to avoid the usual ‘tour diary’ clichés we filmed something that looked nice and captured a feel of some of the places we went to”.

• Russian Circles will release a new album, titled ‘Guidance’, on 5 Aug. Look, here’s a teaser video to prove it.
