• The teams behind the Kendal Calling, Bluedot and Liverpool Sound City festivals are launching a new music event in Manchester in November called Off The Record. Working with music website Louder Than War, there’ll be a daytime conference and then showcases featuring 30 emerging acts. More at otrmcr.com
• Green Day have announced that their new album will be called ‘Radio Revolution’, and it will be released on 7 Oct. Here’s first single ‘Bang Bang’.
• That band you like, Slaves, have released a new track, ‘Spit It Out’.
• Frances has released the video for ‘Say It Again’. Frances has released the video for ‘Say It Again’. Frances has re… oh never mind.
• Following on from the brilliant ‘New Manhattan’, Joy Crookes has released a new single, ‘Sinatra’. “‘Sinatra’ is about a fatal attraction”, she says of the song. “Most of us can relate to misguided love – being with, or staying with someone who isn’t right for you. You can almost become addicted to a person; the Sinatra Charm – as referenced in the song”.
• Pheeyownah has released a video for ‘Vivid, Feartless’, taken from her debut EP, ‘zero9zero9’. Watch here.
• Kamakaze Twins have released a video for new single ‘Ladyfuzz’, which aims to highlight mental health awareness. Their debut EP, ‘Sad’, is out on 2 Sep.
• Skepta has announced that he will headline a show at Alexandra Palace in London on 2 Dec. Tickets went on sale this morning.
