• Artist management firm Maverick have signed up Shania Twain and Andrea Bocelli. Yep, both of them. Not just Shania Twain. Not just Andrea Bocelli. But Shania Twain and Andrea Bocelli. These are glorious days at the Live Nation-owned management agency.

• Universal Music Publishing in the US has promoted David Kokakis to the role of Executive Vice President/Head Of Business & Legal Affairs, Business Development And Digital. Not sure how he’s going to fit all of that on his business card. “True”, says COO Marc Cimino.

• Prophets Of Rage have released their first music video, for the song ‘Prophets Of Rage’.

• JoJo has released the title track from her new album, ‘Mad Love’. The album itself is out on 14 Oct.

• Having just announced her first album for 38 years, Shirley Collins has released another track from it. This is ‘Death And The Lady’.

• Get Inuit have released the video for their latest single, ‘Teryaki’.

• Jain has released the lyric video for new single ‘Makeba’. She’ll be playing live in London at the Lexington on 27 Sep.

• MJ Hibbett & The Validators have released the video for new single, ‘(You Make Me Feel) Soft Rock’. “As you can see it looks like the ‘Take On Me’ video by A-ha done in the style of ‘Roobarb & Custard’ using MS Paint”, says Hibbett. “I’ve spent the last couple of months SLAVING over a hot computer drawing it all myself, so I’m very very happy to finally be able to show it to you!”

• Sløtface have shared new single ‘Bright Lights’, taken from their upcoming new EP ‘Empire Records’.

• The Warehouse Project in Manchester has announced that it will rename one of its existing nights in solidarity with Fabric. ‘Fabriclive x WHP’ on 11 Nov will feature Danny Brown, Wiley, Section Boyz, Clams Casino, Benji B and more. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Fabric’s fighting fund. “This an issue that directly affects every music venue in the UK, so it’s great to join forces together”, says Fabric.

• The noms are out for this year’s MOBO Awards, which take place on 4 Nov. The awards will take place in Glasgow, but the nominations are housed on that internet. Here, in fact.
