• The dance music focused Brighton Music Conference has announced some details about its programme this year, which will include input from Radio 1’s Rhys Hughes, AFEM’s Mark Lawrence and Hospital Records’ Chris Goss, plus reps from YouTube, Beatport, Ableton, Believe Digital and more. Info here.

• More speakers have been announced for the Association Of Independent Music’s annual Music Connected event, which will this year take place on 9 Apr at London’s Glaziers Hall. Sessions will look at whether too much marketing time is given to social media, whether streaming has created a new set of curators, and how labels can protect themselves against piracy day to day. • Kylie Minogue will release a live performance filmed at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena last year on 23 Mar. Here’s a snippet in the form of ‘Timebomb’.

• Aphex Twin will release a white label twelve-inch on 5 May through Warp. Lead track ‘MARCHROMT30a Edit 2b 96’ was previously a bonus track on the Japanese edition of his ‘Syro’ album. It will come with two more tracks, ‘XMAS_EVET1 N’ and ‘MARCHROMT38 fast’.

Shamir has announced his debut album, which is exciting. Titled ‘Ratchet’, it will be released through XL on 18 May. He’ll also be on tour in the UK the same month, including a show at XOYO on 20 May.

One of our Artists Of The Year last year, rap trio Ratking have released a new album, ‘700 Fill’, as a BitTorrent Bundle. A number of tracks are offered with no obligation, with the full album, plus instrumental versions of its tracks and some other stuff, available in exchange for an email address.

• Jenny Hval has made available the first single from her upcoming new album, ‘Apocalypse, Girl’. The track is called ‘That Battle Is Over’.

• Goatsnake have announced their first album for fifteen years, ‘Black Age Blues’, which will be released through Southern Lord on 2 Jun. They currently have one UK live date booked in, at Bristol’s Temple Festival on 30 May.

Approved duo Ex Cops have announced the release of their second album, ‘Daggers’, on 18 May via Downtown Records. Executive produced by Billy Corgan and produced by Justin Raisen, the band’s Brian Harding says of the record: “We are not afraid of our favourite music anymore. It’s pop”. • Outfit will release a new album on 15 Jun, called ‘Slowness’. They’ll also play The Lexington in London on 13 May. The first single, ‘Genderless’, can be heard now. Of it, vocalist Andrew Hunt says: “This song is about feeling disconnected from your body and your sexuality almost to the point where your self disappears completely”.

• Nadine Shah’s recently approved track ‘Fool’ now has a video. So watch it.

• Björk will perform a one-off show at this year’s Manchester International Festival on 5 Jul. Details here.
