Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Tina Hart has been appointed Membership & Outreach Manager for the Music Publishers Association, joining from the London office of US collecting society BMI. Before that she was at Music Week.

• Ticketing firm The Ticket Factory has promoted Daniel Handley to the role of Group Sales Manager at the firm’s Birmingham base, something he is “really pleased” about. Rachel Floyd joins the company to take over his old job of Client Services Account Manager.

• The team that pick good gigs for ticketing app Dice will now be picking good tunes for Apple Music. In that they’ll be compiling playlists for the tech giant’s streaming film flam.

• Coldplay’s next single will be ‘Hymn For The Weekend’. Beyonce does a bit of singing on it. Here’s the video.

• Lion Babe have released a new single, ‘Where Do We Go’. Here’s the video. Their debut album’s out this week.

• Ahead of their headline set at Alexandra Palace on 27 Feb, Enter Shikari set up in the venue’s usually unused Victorian Theatre for a low-key acoustic set in December. An EP of tracks from the performance is released today, and you can watch footage on YouTube here.
