CMU Weekly – Friday 22 Apr 2011 (well, a podcast anyway)

There may be no CMU Weekly bulletin this week, thanks to that pesky Jesus fella dying and forcing us all to take a day off work to eat chocolate while he recovers, but Chris and I still sat down in our makeshift studio to record a podcast for you. Aren’t we nice?

Topics of discussion this week are BT and TalkTalk’s failure in their attempt to have the three-strikes provisions in the Digital Economy Act overturned, Grooveshark’s insistence that it is, contrary to what some in the music industry might have told you, a totally legit music streaming service, the latest developments in Conrad Murray’s trial for the manslaughter of Michael Jackson, the success of Record Store Day, a whole load of ‘X-Factor’, and the hilarious world of Blue.

Usually at this point, I’d say that we’ll be back to normal again next week. But some people are getting married and forcing us all to stay at home again, so we won’t. Same as this week, there’ll be no CMU Weekly bulletin (boo), but there will be a CMU podcast (yay). So, we’ll talk then.

Happy Easter!
