VIGSY’S LIVE TIP: DJ Vadim Live at Jazz Café
Mr Vadim takes control of the Café as part of a full on US and pan-European tour which sees the DJ fighting back in fine form after being treated for ocular cancer last year. Vadim, who was once dubbed the ‘John Coltrane of hip hop’, released a live album ‘U Cant Lurn Imaginashun’ on BBE records back in May, and the aforementioned tour is plugging it. With his full band – which includes the vocals of Sabira Jade, Chicago MC ‘Pugs Atomz’ and the spinning fingers of Lil Ste Keys – expect some hip hop breakbeat chaos. Support comes from Lizzie Parks from Tru Thoughts, Cheeba from Soundcrash and Solid Steel and Kid Kanevil. Tickets are going quickly so move fast.
Thursday 15 Oct, Jazz Cafe, Camden, NW5, doors 7pm, £8 limited advance / £10 on the door, more at www.jazzcafe.co.uk, press info from Lee at BBE or Corin at Grindstone.
