CMU and Roundhouse Rising announce live music industry podcast series

As The Great Escape goes live, here’s some more CMU-related excitement for you. CMU and Roundhouse Rising are partnering on ‘The CMU Podcast: Live’, a new series of monthly live podcast recordings, which will take place over the summer in The Roundhouse’s Studio Theatre.
Hosted by CMU Editor Andy Malt, each month we will assemble a panel of music business professionals – plus regular guest CMU’s Chris Cooke – to talk through the biggest (and the funniest) news stories, trends and developments in the industry. The highlights of the live discussion will be then made available as a free podcast.
Malt explains: “It’s fantastic to be able to bring back The CMU Podcast, and to step it up to a whole new level with these live recordings. Like those old episodes Chris and I used to record in our meeting room every month, we want this to be informative, opinionated and fun. We’ve got some really great guests already lined up for these three events, who I think will ensure we fulfil all of those aims”.
He adds: “We’re so pleased to be partnering with Roundhouse Rising on this, having worked with them on music industry panels at the last two Roundhouse Rising Festivals. They not only provide us with a brilliant venue, but also a great team to ensure that the whole event is the best it possibly can be. I’m really excited”.
Tickets for each event will cost £10 plus booking fees, while a number of tickets will be made available to CMU Digest subscribers and Roundhouse Get In members for £5 plus booking fees. A discount code will be published in this Friday’s edition of the CMU Digest – subscribe here to get it.
