Christina Aguilera doesn’t hate Lady Gaga, right?

Christina Aguilera has said that a quote she gave in a recent interview, in which she was asked her opinion of Lady Gaga, has been taken out of context. According to Out magazine, Aguilera said of Gaga: “Oh, the newcomer. I think she’s really fun to look at”.
On Monday, Aguilera took to her blog to request that everyone stop claiming all female solo artists are at each other’s throats all the time, writing: “I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that. There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods”.
She added: “This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter”.
Meanwhile, Kylie Minogue told MTV yesterday: “I think [Lady Gaga’s] amazingly talented, I think that her look is an integral part of her as an artist”. Wait, did she say Gaga’s fun to look at? FIGHT!
