Celine Dion’s husband Rene Angelil is stepping down as the singer’s manager, with fellow Canadian Aldo Giampaolo, currently CEO of QMI Entertainment & Sports, set to move to Las Vegas to take over the running of the singer’s company Feeling Productions.
Giampaolo, who once headed up the business side of Cirque du Soleil, will become CEO of Dion’s business, with Angelil set to continue in a backseat role as Chairman.
Confirming his new role, Giampaolo said: “I am extremely touched and honoured to be offered this new challenge, and I see it as a continuation of the close working relationship that Rene and I have enjoyed for the past 25 years”.
