Bruno Brookes is going to provide in-store radio entertainment in Subway restaurants (do we call them restaurants?) all across Europe. Well, not him personally, but the media firm he set up.

That company, Immedia, has done a deal with the European Independent Purchasing Company, a not-for-profit organisation owned by Subway, and it will offer Subway franchisees the opportunity to stream music and chit chat made by Brookes’ business.

The deal covers UK, Ireland, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Finland and Sweden, which together have over 3400 Subway branches. Regional variations will be available using each market’s local language.

Says Simon Aldred of EIPC in Radio Today: “Working with Subway stores and Immedia, we’re pleased to provide a high quality in-store radio solution for Subway franchisees across many European countries. Immedia have a strong understanding of the needs of the franchisees which has helped them design and deliver a solution that supports Subway branding and marketing messages both nationally and regionally, driving real financial benefits”.

Says Brookes: “We are delighted to be working with the Subway brand and EIPC and look forward to adding a new dimension to the already superb Subway store experience”.

Superb indeed. And now superber.
