Brian McFadden

The man already blurring lines while ‘Blurred Lines’ the song was still a shady gleam in Robin Thicke’s eye, Brian McFadden, has been named as the new star of Jeff Wayne’s ‘War Of The Worlds’ musical, which is being reprised as a live bonanza for the sixth and “final” time in 2014. Bri will act and sing alongside Jason Donovan in the roving show, which will start its last lap at Dublin’s O2 Arena on 27 Nov, and finish at the Brighton Centre on 14 Dec.

And he says: “I’ve long been a fan [of ‘War Of The Worlds’], and am so excited to be involved in the tour. It’s a true honour to be involved in this electrifying show and to be joining such an exciting cast, including singing the thoughts of The Journalist, who is played by one of my all-time Irish heroes, Liam Neeson. It’s also a thrill to be performing the two international hit singles ‘The Eve of The War’ and ‘Forever Autumn’. This will be a totally new experience for me which is both terrifying and exhilarating!”
